2013 TIMETABLE
In 2012 MECEC is able to offer 3 four year old programs, each consisting of 10.75 hours per week. As you are most likely aware, from 2013 the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) is implementing Universal Access. This demands that all four year old classes consist of 15 hours per week.
The Victorian Government has recently informed Kindergartens that implementing Universal Access in 2013 should not take place if it impacts on any existing programs.
If MECEC were to implement Universal Access in 2013, with each program consisting of 15 hours per week, only 2 four year old programs could be offered, one of our three year old programs shortened and we would also lose 1 Toddler group.
The Committee of Management regrets to inform the MECEC community that the previously advertised 2013 timetable will not proceed. We will be retaining our current timetable and programs.
MECEC will offer 3 four year old programs in 2013 each of 10.75 hours per week with the following proposed timetables:

- Thanks to Rob Henderson for his contribution to the Committee of Management as Vice President, unfortunately due to work commitments Rob can no longer fulfil the role due to travel and time constraints. We appreciate his resources that enabled many donations of books, crayons, textas and more to the kinder.
- Welcome to Peter Beaumont, who has willingly stepped into the role of Vice President on our Committee of Management. Peter has already been so helpful in crafting letters and communicating with many of the important authorities. We really appreciate his abilities and willingness to fulfill the role. He is a great asset to the MECEC community.
- Welcome to Belinda Hudson, our new 3 year old teacher replacing Natalie Darvell who is on Maternity Leave. Belinda brings a wealth of experience and a friendly, nurturing presence to our children and staff.
- Welcome to Peter Barclay, who has willingly stepped into the role of Maintenance Coordinator on our Committee of Management. It is a great relief to have someone step into and fulfill this role.
- Thanks to ‘Purple One’ for organising, updating and setting up our latest technology needs. Luke has been amazing AND patient!
- Thanks to ‘Integrated Technologies Australia‘ (ITA) for servicing and updating our alarm and electrical needs at the Kinder. If you need reliable help in Home Automation, Alarm or Electrical needs,
